My name is Ash, I'm a new GSD owner with my puppy Chase. We're both born and raised in the Maritimes of Canada. In addition to Chase, I also have a senior miniature cockapoo.
My dad had GSDs all his life and they're his favorite breed. I work with pets and I've always loved the breed, but had never taken the purebred plunge. Until now, I've always had mixed breeds.
When the time came for my little senior dog to get him a support brother due to his new blindness, I decided to take the plunge and get a puppy from my favorite breed. Brodie had been really minding being home alone and walks were getting overwhelming, so along came Chasey. I spoke to the breeder about what my goals were, and they matched me with the best possible fit for our situation:
My lovely cow, whose only drives are eating and laying in grass.
Chase has been an amazing companion to my blind dog, soothing him and prioritizing his comfort. For a puppy he is incredible. He's pretty much ironed in the breed as my favorite, and honestly I would have a second in a heartbeat.
