We have had GSDs in my family for now 3 generations (that I know of), but she is the first that is “mine” and that I’ve been heavily involved in the puppy phase for. Despite being around them for much of my life, I’m still not sure I was entirely prepared for her, but we are learning together every day!

What are your favourite things to get up to together?

Welcome, and what a beautiful name, Ms. Heidi looks like she’s already stealing hearts!

I love that she’s continuing your family’s GSD legacy. Even when we’ve grown up around shepherds, having one that’s fully ours hits different. You start realizing just how much they teach us, patience, structure, awareness, all of it.

You’re absolutely right though, they always find new ways to challenge us no matter how prepared we think we are. What’s been the biggest surprise for you so far with her?
