When me and my dog are working together, I'll work on several different things at one time. I believe it's funner for the dog, less static and more dynamic. It takes a little longer in the beginning for us to get something nailed down, but once it comes together the finished product flys to the finish line. For instance, we're currently fixing the stand, introducing heeling while in the middle position and introducing the heel on the opposite side. It'll take longer to get a finished product on any one discipline BUT we'll finish all three a lot faster than teaching each one at a time. IMO it's the beginning and middle of the lessons that take longer but the finishing comes together very quickly.

Any thoughts, opinions, ideas or feelings on this style of teaching please share.

I agree about changing things up. It keeps the training unpredictable and exciting.

How's it going with Bomber's new training regime?
