Hey pack,

I’m Malakai a longtime German Shepherd devotee, handler, and all-around working-dog nerd. I’ve been living and breathing shepherd life for years, from the boundless energy of wild little pups to the steady presence of seasoned adults who’ve seen and done it all.

What hooked me on this breed in the first place was their balance of intelligence sharp enough to problem-solve, drive strong enough to get the job done, and loyalty deep enough to humble you. Over the years I’ve worked with shepherds in obedience, protection, and scent-work, and I’ve learned one big truth: these dogs give you back exactly what you put into them... times ten.

I’m here to share, to learn, and to connect with others who love these incredible dogs as much as I do. Excited to be part of this community and to hear all of your stories too.

Thanks for the welcome! Don’t worry about being new, we’ve all started somewhere. Honestly, the learning never really stops with shepherds, they’re always throwing something new at you. Excited to hear about your journey as you dive in. Feel free to ask anything, that’s what we’re all here for.

Malakai, you sound like the GSD professor we all needed but never had! Meanwhile, I’m over here trying to figure out how my dog manages to shed enough fur to carpet the entire house… twice… and still look like a lion.

Glad to have you here though. Maybe I’ll finally learn how to convince my shepherd that the vacuum isn’t a monster sent from another dimension.
