The holidays have kept me very dead tired lately, and I have DEFINITELY been slacking with Chase's general training and such, but we have hit a MASSIVE milestone!

Unprompted due to a cut in his ear, we ended up letting Chasey out of crate halfway through the day while I'm at work. My dad checks in, spends time and takes the two dogs to pee, and leaves Chase out now. Despite no test runs prior, Chase has proven on multiple days this week that he can be trusted with Brodie around the house! He doesn't destroy or chew, he doesn't get into trouble, he just plays with his toys, plays with Brodie, or naps! He's SO GOOD. I have never been so proud in my life.

At 9 months old, I can already tell he's going to be a STELLAR adult.

Exciting. It’s like a graduation into adulthood with more responsibility when out of the crate. Plus, it feels good to give more freedom to our dogs.

Well done guys. Glad to hear Chase has been doing well.

I love this for you, Chase, and Brodie. Good job Chasey!!

I just started letting mine sleep out of his crate. He pretty much told me he was ready for the responsibility of night watch. I still very much believe in crate training, but it’s so awesome when they can be trusted to not be in one.
