So, I've spent a small fortune on dog crap over the years and here's what I can say is super useful in regards to gear:

Puppies 8 weeks to 6 Months:
- Nylon flat buckle collars.
- Flexi leash.
- Long line.
- 6' leash.
- Treat pouch.

Dogs 6 Months plus:
- 2" wide flat buckle collar.
- Prong Collar.
- E-collar.
- 6' leather leash.
- Training apron or vest.

Toys For Play & Training:
- XL Chuck-it.
- Ball on a rope.
- 12" long tug.
- Bite pillow.
- Heavy tug rope.
- Squeaky Wubba.
- Kong toy, other toys.

Grooming:
- Nail clippers.
- Brush.
- Wipes.
- Nose & paw balm.
- First Aide Kit.
- Amazon brand poop bags.

Household:
- Crate.
- Multiple food/water bowls.
- Dry food storage.
- Outdoor metal trashcan with lid.
- Scented outdoor trash bags.
- Poop bags.
- Painters clothes and paper towels.
- Enzyme cleaner.
- Good vacuum.

Optional:
- Place mat.
- Position box.
- Bite development (pillows, sleeves, etc).
- Harness.
- Traffic tab.
- Spring/Agitation pole.

Things I keep in my truck:
- Clean towels.
- Poop bags.
- Collapsible water bowls.
- Case of water.
- Toys, leashes, training pouch.
- Backpack cooler.
- First Aide Kit.
- Grooming gear.
- Dry food/treats.

Some brands/online stores I like:
- Leerburg.
- Ray Allen.
- Redline.
- Dogline.
- Canine Athletes.
- Starmark.
- Foamster.
- K9 Ops.
- Herm Sprenger.
- UndrDog.

Sounds like a lot but a lot of this stuff overlaps. And you certainly don't need all of this crap to have a happy dog. These are just gear items I've found super useful overtime.

If you're looking at buying something and aren't sure, ask me about it. Chances are I've wasted money on it. LOL.

I have a Bissell pet pro and that thing works so well and is easy to clean. I genuinely love it and use it every day. (how I have three dogs and MURPHY is the only dog that SHEDS)
I had a Dyson years ago that was awesome. I can't bring myself to spend the cash on another one though. We've been using a Bissell as well. I forget what model but it's a robust machine that gets the job done.
