I was having a problem uploading a video. Lets try again.

This is a brief video of us off leash heeling in public. We're walking a track that wraps a soccer field while a game was in progress. This is a pretty challenging environment for my pup but he did great. You'll notice he has a tendency to crowd me a little bit but I prefer that to drifting. I apologize the video isn't great but I was by myself.

I heeled him directly through the crowd a few times and he was excellent. We saw one dog on a leash and my dog was certainly interested but he never broke the heel.

I noticed that when we're out practicing public off leash obedience people tend to look a little nervous and I totally understand that. I also noticed that the bandana softens his appearance and people smile a lot when they see it so he wears the bandana when we're out.

Next time I'll be sure to have a helper with me and I'll get a much better video from a distance.

I don’t think the video showed up for me (boo, I wanted to see your superstar in action!), but the way you describe him holding heel through all that chaos is awesome. And the bandana idea? Genius. Total fashion statement and crowd control. He’s basically working the runway while working obedience. Can’t wait to see the video once it uploads!

We were having issues with photos/videos. Photos and videos are now fixed. Do you want to try uploading? I apologize for the inconvenience, I am still getting things sorted as people test.

Sounds like you and Bomber are making good progress at soccer! Love to hear it. Can't wait to see the video

I'll try again later in the day. Frankly I'd like to get a better video anyway.

Ok, this is the video I wanted to share earlier. It's not a good video but what the hell, I thought he looked happy in the heel and I wanted to share.

You'll notice I put him in a very brief sit-stay and then I patted my hip for him to come back into the heel position. I also repeated the heel command after coming to a brief stop. We've got the auto-sit down pretty good but I'm still showing him the auto-heel. Basically, left foot first means continue into the heel, right foot first means stay in your position. (I did mess this up in the video though. LOL)

Great video! Bomber definitely looks happy, it's great to see him constantly looking up to check in too.

I like the bandana, I see what you mean about how it softens his appearance.
