Redness around eyebrows.

Noticed this last year and the vet acknowledged it was nothing of concern, but as the weather changes we’ve noticed right above his eye seems furless and pronounced red color. Tends to happen when he’s running around but noticed it’s ongoing lately. Does this happen to anyone else?

Happens with a lot of dogs, especially when they’re running hot. Breaker got the same little red patch above the eye when he was fired up or tearing around.

If your vet already gave the all-clear, I’d just keep it simple:

• Keep an eye on it (no pun intended).
• Make sure he’s not scratching or rubbing it raw.
• Throw a little vet-approved moisturizer on it if the weather’s drying his skin out.
• If it gets swollen, crusty, or starts spreading, then I’d have the vet take another look.

But if it only pops up when he’s active? Totally normal for a lot of shepherds.
