Its all speculation but i found the original owner through a shelters information. i was greeted in a weird way from the back of the house not the front door... things were fine till i was shown too much and i was hurried off... followed by a weird call a few days later from someone asking about the dog asking if she was fitting in.. not the person who was supposed to own the dog. the shelter did not have my phone number and the manager of the shelter looked concerned when i brought it up and i was told they don't give out phone numbers. (only reason i got information to help locate the home was because i worked for them for years and i was trusted)

forgot to add that she wandered onto my property :P thats how i found her
 
looking back, i probably got lucky and dodged a very uncomfortable situation
