I am the proud mama of my fifth GSD. She is an almost two year old (the 27th) Czech working line shep. She is silly and cuddly, but true to the breed she is very protective and always on guard. As of now, we are working on focus training and agility. She is so smart and eager to learn especially when there's treats involved. I look forward to seeing your beautiful babies.

Welcome Deepthought and Daisy! She's so cute.

What kind of agility do you guys get up to?
Thank you! Right now, we're working on confidence and agility by climbing on giant boulders. She was nervous at first, but she handled it like a champ. Not only is it agility and confidence, it's a trust building exercise to deepen our bond.

Czech lines are the best!! Awesome!! Nice to meet you Miss Daisy and her handler!!

Welcome! Sounds like you’ve got a wonderful girl on your hands, that Czech working line energy mixed with a cuddly side is the best combo. Focus and agility are such great outlets for that drive too. She sounds like a really special dog.

I'm Daisy. Lola is my pup. Sorry for the confusion. I got a laugh out of it. I hope everyone else will too.
Thank you for the warm welcome!
This is my first experience with an AKC shep from a breeder. My previous four were all rescues. She is beyond smart and so challenging but I've loved every minute of it. It's so satisfying to see hard work pay off.
Tell me about your pup!

Ohh! My apologizes, I totally got it wrong. Nice to meet YOU daisy, and your beautiful pup Lola. It’s always cool to see shepherds do agility because shhhh they’re always better at it!!😏 In my totally biast opinion. I bet she’s wonderful and I can’t wait to see videos of her training. Rescue dogs are wonderful, but getting your first dog from a breeder feels unreal! My GSD is Miss B, or Beretta. my first dog purchased from a breeder aswell! She is ALSO a Czech Working Line GSD! She in addition to being my first wellbred dog, she is also my first sport dog. She’s freshly a year old, and I’m looking to trial with her in IGP, which we’ve done since she was very young. I had to take a break when she was around 10 months old as I moved to Los Angeles, but now we are getting back at it and she’s doing wonderful!! Hope to see more of you & lola here, I bet she is wonderful and beautiful as can be (especially from her photo, she is stunning)! I’m glad we share so much in common!! I’ll see you around the forum!!🥰

Welcome! Wow, your fifth GSD, that’s amazing! She sounds like such a perfect mix of playful and protective. I love how you described her personality, that eagerness to learn is one of my favorite things about the breed. Focus and agility sound like such fun ways to work together too. Can’t wait to see photos of your girl in action!

No worries at all! And you're not biased at all it's simply the truth. Just saying. 😁 You're so right about it feeling unreal. I got Lola for my birthday she was gift from my son. When he handed me her papers, I was just in total shock. Of course, I was in tears as my new little baby kissed my face. I couldn't believe it. Just unreal. I had really been struggling, and she turned my world around.
IGP is a very well respected trial that is so awesome that your baby will be participating. I look forward to hearing about it. My girl is great with obedience and tracking. We call tracking "seeka-find". Protection training is the one thing I don't have experience with. Maybe you could give me some pointers on how to properly train for that? Shepherds are already incredibly protective on their own. They will attack without a second thought and put their life on the line if you're in danger. I know this from personal experience. I have anxiety around people so I walk my girl at night. Even the sketchiest of people walk to the other side of the street to avoid her. The people that do say hi to her get a wiggle butt and an ask for scratches. It’s fantastic.

I'll remember to get some video for you! I love an opportunity to show off my girl. I'm sure we all do. I've got her doing brain games right now.

Welcome to the gang Daisy! And congratulations on your beautiful baby!!! They are a handful but it’s SO worth it! I’m on my 7th GSD…my new puppy Callie just turned 12 weeks yesterday also from working lines. I’d love to see your progress photos/videos. Right now I’m working on socializing her and she has taken everything in stride. She goes everywhere with me so she’s exposed to a lot…like lots of car rides, kids picking up my daughter from school and taking her to dance class. Since I have my daughters entire class time to train we go out in the devilstrip and work on training with distractions. She is doing great! I’m looking to see if Callie will be a good service dog prospect for me…so far so good. Like yours she is very smart, catches on quickly and has been going to the door to potty since her 2nd day home (which I’ve NEVER had any puppy do that). Just in the last couple of days she added a whine in addition to sitting at the door to go potty. After her next round of shots I’m looking to start her in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy classes then onto CGC. I so wish I could run around enough to do agility though or some type of sports because it feels like she would excel. I’m trying to get the hubby trained up (lol) to get him to the point where he could handle her correctly. I think training my hubby and daughter to do things correctly is more work than training Callie! Anyway, just wanted to welcome you and let you know how beautiful your baby is! Here’s an obligatory Callie pic along with a picture of the devilstrip where we train while Lilly (my daughter is at dance class) and of course my old grumpy man Rocky who is a great helper with training and wearing her out!
