Introduction for my girl, Miss B or Beretta! She’s a freshly 1yo Czech GSD. We did IGP for a few months, she’s currently in a training program to neutralize her as we may start steering towards the PPD route because she’s pretty confident. I intend on still practicing and working with our sport obedience but I think we’d have more fun in personal protection.. she’s a very pretty girl, with a real big personality and she’ll outsmart you any day. Hoping to make some friends here :) We’re in Los Angeles, California!

Hey Miss Beretta! You have a very creative name, I like it.

How did she do with the other aspects of IGP? It's a cool sport. I look forward to following you guys as you experiment in personal protection.

Welcome to the GSDHQ family!

Well, her pedigree is full of IGP3, SchH 3 doggos so she kinda popped out the womb reasy for action haha. She’s got the cutest fancy feet, she’s a very handled oriented dog and so so intelligent. She has SO much drive, she would work for a piece of trash and has before lol. She’s still a baby so we were luring for the most part, we never got too far into it as I stopped going when she was around 9/10 months. she has simple obedience (Sit, down, loose heel, focus heel, stay, spin twist, ) and she’s trained in german! Her bark and hold was great for being such a young pup, genetically she was just wired right. 😎 She does NOT like retrievals.. she prefers the chase me game lmao. I however want to do personal protection for my own benefits and I think it’s really badass, that’s all to be honest. I know she’s capable of either, and who knows maybe I’ll change my mind and continue with bite sports but it looks so fun (and my girl agrees)!!!😩 I’m gonna keep working at all the obedience and retrieval etc. I think I could get my BH or PDC (since PSA is the only thing available near me currently, we just moved) but I’m exploring all my options!! thanks for asking and following along ! :))

Gorgeous doggo. Best of luck on the training. Sounds like you know what you're doing.

Miss B is stunning! Those ears and that expression, she looks like she’s ready to take on the world. Welcome to the forum, can’t wait to follow along with Miss B’s adventures out in LA!

It sounds like you’ve got such a fun journey ahead with her. IGP and PPD both take so much dedication, love that you’re exploring both to see what fits her best. That big personality is going to make for some amazing stories, I can already tell!

She was just born that way haha. Beretta sounds like a dog you can do anything and go anywhere with. The protection work is definitely badass, you can see how much they love it, which makes it even cooler. It’s also so practical, no matter where you live. There’s something peaceful about knowing your dog has your back wherever, whenever. When you retrieve with her, is she the type that doesn’t want to give it back right away?

Good looking pup. Those European working lines are something else aren't they? My dogs father is a Czech dog and the dam is Slovakian.

Welcome MissB! Beretta looks like she’s got equal parts beauty, brains, and just enough chaos to keep you humble. A Czech line with confidence? Yeah, she’s probably running that training program by now. Glad to have you both here, can already tell she’s the one calling the shots.
