Hey all! What supplements do you use for your GSDs?

Personally I use a Wellytail hip/joint/omegas supplement, Blends for Life Mushroom Blend to boost his immune system and overall health, and goats milk powder rehydrated in his food as a natural probiotic.

//Realized belatedly this should've gone in Health & Wellness so apologies on that!
Great mix Enraa, that sounds like a solid routine. I’ve heard really good things about goat’s milk powder too, especially for digestion and coat health.

I’ve mainly used salmon oil and a joint blend with glucosamine/chondroitin, but I’ve been curious about adding a mushroom supplement. Have you noticed a difference since starting it?

I started to give it as a recommendation from my vet when I posed concerns about Chase being prone to developing cancer (not in his family, but it's always a possibility). They also liked him getting an immune boost as a puppy.

Admittedly I introduced it as the same time I changed his food from kibble to dehydrated mixed with fresh homemade, so I saw a MASSIVE energy boost (he wasn't doing well on kibble at all, very lethargic), way better coat, way better attention span during training, better stools, etc. A lot of that was definitely him responding to better nutrition, but I'm sure that the BFL mushroom blend contributed to some of those successes.

That makes a lot of sense, especially if the switch off kibble happened around the same time. Sounds like Chase really benefited from the combo of cleaner nutrition and that immune support boost. It’s amazing how fast their coat, focus, and energy can shift once the diet truly clicks. Appreciate you sharing the details on that mushroom blend too, I might give it a try.

It can only help! There's so many good ones, too. The one I'm using now is a brand through my workplace, there's definitely better blends with more mushrooms - I had one with 8 before for my cockapoo.
