Our GSD was wild until 3.5-4months and survived on what she caught (before we rescued and brought home to our acreage. She is really good at snatching voles in the grass and snow, plays with them awhile then “CRUNCH” and down the hatch.

Here is how her pounce compares to the coyotes and foxes she shared the fields with. (After awhile we trained her not to chase either too).

This is cool to see. Almost identical leap of the fox and similar to the wolf. Maybe she had her fair share of time with a pack. Sounds like you gave her a great home!

That's a hysterical picture. Nice!
 
That’s incredible, sounds like she’s got some serious instinct in her. Amazing how those hunting skills carry over from life in the wild. Bet watching that pounce in action is something else!
