What’s the funniest thing your shepherd has ever outsmarted you on?

I’ll go first, mine once tricked me into opening the back door three times in a row. Not because he needed out, oh no. It was because he knew I’d leave my sandwich on the counter every time I got up. By round three I realized I was the one being trained.

So now I need to know, what’s your shepherd’s best prank, scheme, or gotcha moment? Bonus points if it made you laugh even while cleaning up the mess.

My ex's german shepherd when I stayed over would look at us around dinner time like she was famished. When we weren't communicating about when we fed her she would sometimes trick us into giving her two dinners. She was sneaky and she knew exactly what she was doing.

Classic shepherd move. Mine pulls the same stunt, gives me that I’m starving Oscar worthy performance, then trots off smug as ever after securing round two. Honestly, I think they keep a better meal schedule than I do.
