She loves eating ice, and I honestly... have been so confused ever since I saw her doing it, that I just stopped trying to know why.
...now whenever my freezer works too well and starts icing up, I rip off the ice plaques and just let her have fun with them.
Though I still haven't seen her laying on top of one of these.

This is so funny and weirdly wholesome. Some dogs love ice like it’s the greatest treat in the world and others act like it’s an insult, there’s no in between.

I love that you’ve just embraced it and started giving her the freezer ice slabs like a little winter buffet 😭❄️ I’m honestly surprised she hasn’t tried laying on one yet… give her time, GSDs are always one step away from doing something dramatic.

It's actually been some time since my freezer worked so well... but should it come to that, I can always get her some ice cubes from the tray. Not a good time to do this right now, though, since it's currently cold as hell... despite it being literally the middle of Spring.

Cold in the middle of spring? Now I’m curious, where are you located that the weather’s doing that? And yeah, ice cubes sound like the safer option until things warm up again. Some dogs really do treat ice like the greatest treasure ever.

I'm in Brazil. The weather here tends to oscillate between cold and hot in Spring and Autumn, with Summer being WAY too hot and Winter being WAY too cold.
